Paul Whittle - Club Manager and Senior Youth Worker
Born on the day St Andrew’s Club opened in its new premises following destruction in WW2, the Club has always been part of Paul’s life. A member since childhood, Paul has been general manager of the Club for over 30 years. He will be retiring at the end of July 2019 and will be sadly missed. See the news story.
Annette Fettes - Interim Chief Executive
From 1 May 2019 Annette, previously Development Director, has been appointed Interim Chief Executive and will work alongside Paul until his departure. She is taking on Paul’s responsibilities for the strategy, management, and administrative side of the Club, answering to the Trustees. Annette has worked in PR and marketing for high end luxury goods, has run her own garden design business and has now worked in the charity sector for over twelve years, joining the Club after fundraising for a local Kent Hospice. She holds a diploma in Fundraising from the Institute of Fundraising and feels privileged to now lead the Club, raise awareness of and funds for the amazing work for the over 700 members who depend on it each year. Sarah Nicholls - Youth Club Manager
From 1 May 2019 Sarah Nicholls, previously Deputy Manager Youth Worker, has been appointed Youth Club Manager, and is responsible for the youth programme and youth workers. Sarah was an experienced Teaching Assistant who has worked with young people aged 3-19 years in an autism specialist school implementing the national curriculum and promoting physical, emotional and social development. As well as specialising in art, being a mental health first aider and qualified in advanced child protection awareness, in 2018 she achieved the Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work Practice through YMCA George Williams College and is now studying for a degree in Children, Young People and Families –Youth Work, Community Learning and Development and Social Pedagogy. Adrian Phillips - Deputy Club Manager
Adrian Phillips has worked at the Club since he was sixteen, and before that was a member from the age of nine, so he has lots of first-hand experience of what the members of St Andrew's want and need!
Burcin Tagman - Deputy Club Manager
Burcin joined the Club in 2010 and brought a new female dynamic to the senior staff team. With a background in recruitment Burcin has added new and exciting activities, particularly photography, many of which are aimed at our female members, increasing the full participation and confidence of new members.
Helen Hughes - Junior Club Leader
Helen volunteered at Junior Club some years ago when her children were young. She took over as Leader for two years. After a career break she is back working with new generations of young people and leads Junior Club on Wednesday nights.
Linda Llewellyn - Office Manager
Linda is a former member whose children also attended the Club. She has worked extensively in the charity sector, is committed to supporting the local community and regularly volunteers and supports local initiatives including The Big Local, E.T.A.T and SouthWestFest as well as organising community events for St Andrew's.
Lucy Morrish - Fundraising & Communications Officer
Lucy joins from another charity where she was working in the HR department, with secondment to the Marketing department. Lucy is very keen to have made the move into Fundraising and use her skills to help raise money for and awareness of the Club.
