On Thursday the 21st of March St Andrew’s hosted our annual Presidents Reception, celebrating the Club's proud heritage and celebrating achievements new and historic, with our amazing supporters and friends of the Club.
This year's Presidents Reception was especially significant as it marked 40 years the Club has been based at Old Pye Street.
Throughout St Andrew’s illustrious 157 year history the Club has been based in 6 different locations. Each with its own historical significance and stories to tell. You can find out more about the Clubs proud history and previous homes here standrewsclub.com/history
To acknowledge this significant occasion CEO Sarah Nicholls, Club President Lord Strathclyde, and the former Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Hamza Taouzzale all spoke passionately about the Club's outstanding work enriching the lives of young people, and the vital role St Andrew’s continues to play in the Westminster community.
Guests were treated to a canapes reception with food being served by young people at the Club. Guests were excited to take tours of the Club, visiting the St Andrew’s memory gallery. A historic collection of photos documenting the memories and achievements of young people at the Club throughout the years. The memory gallery was a moving reminder of the influence St Andrew’s has had in the lives of so many children and young people.
