On Thursday 23rd March St Andrew's Club invited friends and supporters to 'Rock the Sanctum' as they joined us for a musical-themed fundraiser.
The stunning Sanctum Soho hosted the evening, as over 70 guests enjoyed an evening of delicious food, unique auction prizes and live entertainment.
The evening began with a welcome cocktail courtesy of Jack Daniels, as CEO Sarah greeted guests and introduced the work of the Club. Guests then enjoyed a Japanese inspired three-course sharing menu in the Sanctum's Wild Heart Bar & Shokudo restaurant. We were extremely fortunate that three-time Michelin star chef and menu creator Garry Hollihead was in the kitchen on the night.
Following dinner, the fantastic Harvey Cammell of Bonhams ensured a lively auction - with many auction lots hotly contested.
We are so grateful to Club supporter Richard Berry who organised the event and (with help from his friends in the music industry) secured some truly unique auction prizes - including a guitar signed by members of Bon Jovi Dire Straits and Pink Floyd and VIP tickets to Iron Maiden and Eric Clapton. Other auction lots generously donated by friends of the Club included a VIP shopping trip from Fenwick, a day on a powerboat and a week's stay in a luxury villa on Corfu.
A rock-themed evening wouldn't be complete without music and the evening concluded with a fantastic live band as guests enjoyed dancing to classic rock tunes.
We are delighted to announce that with the auction and other donations the event raised £15,000!
This was a unique event for St Andrew's Club and we are very grateful to Richard Berry for all his efforts in organising such a fantastic fundraiser.
