St Andrew’s Youth Club had a magnificent May half-term. Starting 28 May and finishing on the 31st over 100 young people at the Club enjoyed an amazing week of exciting activities, unique enriching experiences with their friends.
It was a week where young peoples creativity flourished. Junior Club members (5-9) used their artistic talents to make bracelets, scratch art, superhero cupcakes and much more. Senior Club Members (9+) enjoyed a week of getting active with the Andrew’s. Taking part in incredible activities such as boxing, axe throwing, football, dodgeball and roller skating. Young people also enjoyed baking and cooking activities. These were just some highlights of the amazing activities young people enjoyed at St Andrew’s this May.
Young people also made treasured memories outside the Club enjoying a range of trips. 20 children enjoyed an incredible tour of Stamford Bridge. Where they got to look around the changing room, the trophy cabinet, press room and even walked out on to the pitch. Young people also enjoyed spending a day as firemen at the Lambeth fire brigade. Learning about fire safety and how to use the hose. There was also amazing trips to Fulham palace and a trampoline park. A massive thank you to heritage London, Chelsea football club, and the Lambeth fire brigade who generously supported St Andrew’s in providing this amazing unique experiences for young people.
It was an amazing half term at the Club and we cant wait to do it again next year. A massive thank you to Westminster City Councill, Young Westminster Foundation and Kitchen Social whose outstanding support make wonderful half terms like this possible.
