There have been many changes in the world of fundraising over the last two years and at St Andrew’s Club we take it seriously to fundraise responsibly and respectfully and keep up to date with the latest legislation and compliance.
We have joined The Fundraising Regulator, have reiterated our Fundraising Promise and have ensured all our Trustees are familiar with the latest guidance from the Charity Commission and we are up to date with our relevant policies.
We are working towards the UK Government’s decision to implement EU General Data Protection Regulation, (GDPR) which comes into effect in May 2018, and are in the process of strengthening our data protection collection, processing and storage. We are proud that we have never sold any of our data to other organisations and in due course we will be seeking ‘consent’ from all current supporters and stakeholders of St Andrew’s Club to communicate with them in their preferred way/s about the impact of our work and how they can support us.
The Fundraising Regulator is developing a Fundraising Preference Service (FPS), which is set to launch next month. Any member of the public who wishes to suppress their details from a charity’s database can do so through this vehicle. More details about the FPS are here. Alternatively, you can contact us, or any other charity, direct.
Our current policies can be found here.
